voco™ Podgorica – the Eleventh voco in the world

The eleventh voco™ and the first in southeast Europe is located close to the attractive destination of Podgorica, on the site of the former Hotel Verde.

The adaptation to voco standards took several months and has finally been completed. According to Milena Brajović, director of voco Podgorica and Verde complex, a lot was done in a short time, mostly regarding the adaptation of Hotel Verde to the standards of IHG and voco brand in terms of design and interior, and regarding the implementation of procedures and adoption of standards in the domains of services, offer and safety of guests and staff.

Voco is the latest addition to the InterContinental Hotels Group, created in 2018, meaning that this is a brand which is experiencing rapid expansion. This brand is different than all other brands because it offers something more relaxing, different, and much less formal than the usual idea of hotel luxury. This is in line with the voco slogan – “reliably different” – Brajović adds.

The renovated hotel rooms were designed with features such as comfortable bedsheets made from 100% recycled materials, Korres products in large bottles and fast Wi-Fi so that guests can relax and enjoy “time for themselves” during their stay in voco™ hotels.

The ownership and management structure of vocoTM Podgorica has remained unchanged – the hotel is owned by the Čelebić Group, whereas vocoTM Podgorica will receive significant support in sales and marketing and their doors to the global market will open through IHG channels because IHG enjoys enormous trust in the hotel industry. The IHG Loyalty Program alone has more than 100 million members – regular visitors.
