Awards were given to the most successful managers and entrepreneurs of Montenegro for 2018 in nine categories at the gala ceremony of the Association of Managers of Montenegro which was held on April 15^th at the Hilton hotel.

The ceremony hosted the most successful businessmen and representatives of the public sector along with ambassadors and other high ranking officials of the diplomatic corps.

Tomislav Čelebić, the president of the Čelebić Company has been awarded the entrepreneur of the year award for the year 2018.

The awards ceremony was opened by the Minister of economy of Montenegro, Dragica Sekulić on behalf of Government of Montenegro as the sponsor of the event. Minister Dragica Sekulić also had the honour of presenting the awards to most successful entrepreneurs.

82 candidacies were accepted out of 249 received nominations. The steering committee reached a decision to accept the proposal of the expert panel for 12 laureates within 9 categories.

The expert panel comprising of 18 members was presided by Professor Vinko Nikić PhD, who is the also president of the Board of Directors of the Institute of certified accountants of Montenegro. The expert panel consisted as in the previous year of the representatives of the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro, the Faculty of Economics, the Council of foreign investors of Montenegro, the Faculty for Mediterranean studies, the Human Resources Management Authority of Montenegro, the Active Citizens Fund – fAKT, as well of previous year award winners for most successful managers and entrepreneurs.

This year’s laureates had a net income of €114.3 million and a net profit of €17.3 million in 2018. The value of their total investments was € 70.5 million with a staff of nearly 1600 employees.
